This year, we announced the expansion of our German truck fleet to total over 300 vehicles. This comes as an exciting addition to the company’s existing fleet of more than 5,000 trucks that are already in operation worldwide. 

The new trucks, which include 150 BIO liquified natural gas (BIO LNG) and 15 compressed natural biogas (bio-CNG) vehicles, will provide numerous benefits for our customers.

The area of cabotage – the transportation of goods within a country – will see a significant benefit as the increased provision of German-based trucks will improve local efficiency. The addition of BIO LNG trucks to Hegelmann Group’s fleet will offer more environmentally friendly transportation options, since BIO LNG produces significantly fewer emissions than traditional diesel fuel.

We have also taken steps to ensure the safety and security of our drivers and cargo. All our drivers have received certifications in AVSEC (aviation security), meaning they are trained to the highest standards and can transport goods as part of the RFS.
