Road Santas: Bringing Hope and Joy to Children in Need

The Road Santas initiative was set up by a group of professional drivers to aid children’s institutions such as hospitals and care facilities during the holiday period. The initiative has received tremendous support from various organisations, including ours. We are proud to have been able to contribute to this cause, thanks to the fundraising efforts of our employees and support from the board. Additionally, we sent merchandising goods for special auction and donated two Ping-Pong tables to a local special educational centre’s common room. Through the Road Santas initiative, we are making a positive impact on the lives of children in need.

Hegelmann Group Hosts Paralympics for Children with Disabilities

At Hegelmann Group, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity, particularly for children with disabilities. In 2022, we organised a paralympic event that aimed to integrate disabled people, encourage sports as a form of rehabilitation and therapy, and build motivation and self-esteem.

Over 400 children participated in the event, primarily those with mental and physical disabilities. They played, danced and took part in sports tournaments to showcase that disability is not a limitation. Our goal was to provide a platform for children with disabilities to participate fully in social life and demonstrate their abilities.

We awarded diplomas, medals and other prizes, and their joy and smiles were truly priceless. We believe that events like this can help break down barriers and promote a more inclusive society. By supporting children with disabilities, we can make a positive impact on their lives and contribute to a more equitable future.

Employees Participate in Charity Run

Ten employees from Hegelmann Group’s Bruschal team successfully completed the Bruschal Hope Run 2022, totalling a massive 87.5 kilometres. Organised annually by the Caritas organisation to raise awareness and funds for refugee aid, this event supports efforts to provide housing, medical care and education. The team’s efforts earned a €625 donation from the wider cohort at Hegelmann, and will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of the recipients.
